The Star?

Ratings are found everywhere. We rate everything we put in our mouths (oops) everything we see, everything we hear, touch, want, desire, aspire to obtain (the last three were synonyms) so naturally, curiosity arose when I thought about rating systems, namely the star system. Movie ratings and restaurant ratings are just some of the things we run into every day that are assessed using the number of stars as a symbol (for goodness(?). Maybe they were created to provide a positive spin on every rating, hey you got 1 star, it's alright, at least it's a star. Not sure, hopefully one of you are, give me some responses!

The Social Network

If you're thinking about whether or not to go see The Social Network, think no longer. This movie is worth seeing over and over again just for the underpinning issues that are evident throughout it. Power, rapacity, loyalty, and friendship, were just some of the enticing concepts that were explored throughout the movie. I found it shocking that Zuckerberg's idea for facebook was, to be euphemistic, heavily based off of a concept that he had already heard. The lead actor, Jesse Eisenberg (portraying Zuckerberg) was fantastic, cunning and pithy, much like I would imagine the real Mark Zuckerberg to be like. Not to mention, he kinda looks like him too.
